15 starter set-up

Anybody know if we can upgrade our 13 starters to the new 15 set-up? I see the ignition sprocket is attached to the flywheel with 3 bolts instead of the large center one. Do the sprockets have the same cut/pitch on the teeth? If so, just the external parts would be needed to do the upgrade.

Not gonna be that simple. It will need some engineering/flywheel machine work. I've put that project on hold till after Nov, then going to see if it's possible.

Are there really that many problems with the '13 starter? After upgrading my bendix, my starter has been dead reliable. I literally never use the kickstarter.

When I picked my bike up at the dealer, the kid that brought it out asked if I wanted him to start it. I said sure, after he hit the button about a dozen times and the engine never turned over once. I said try the kick start.
Took it home, pulled the e-start and sold it. I'm not wasting any money on the old style, the new style works great.
