Ideas needed for Spring Ride

I kind of forgot this thread was out there. We have some very good riding here in the Black Hills of SD. Also the Wyoming National enduro is held about 100 miles from here in Upton. Could definitely put something together here if anyone was interested.
Sounds interesting, a definite possibility!

I know for a fact that it would be welcome at the Wudi Ride. (It also functioned as a place/non-event for GasGas test rides for years.)
There is plenty of room for campers, and you can ride right out of the campground and up on the mountain.

Plus, all ya'll would get to meet Fred.

Also, two hours east of this year's Wudi Ride is Brock Creek. It was the site for some of the Wudi Rides in the past. A lot of riders will ride there on the way to the Wudi, or on the way home. It is a good rugged trail, with miles of designated singletrack. Here is a map with the brochure.

I would love going to Wudi next year. I have a toy hauler that will accommodate 4 adult campers (or 3 adults and a couple of kids). I live 580 miles East in Tennessee. Anybody back this way want to join up and share expenses? Cost for camping and gas would be less than $400. I need to split it at least 3 ways to make this trip a go.

What about the Cumberland Mountain Trail Riders Association? 17,000 acres and 100 miles of marked one way single track only trail! Plus over 100 miles of unmarked trail.

No way to locate it to make it good for everyone. How about an east coast and west coast gathering. Hatfield McCoy is THE spot for east coast and then somewhere in SoCal for the west coasters.

I'm in for Dtown or Highland Park, and I'm pretty sure I can get a couple more to come with. I REALLY enjoy Highland park.

With a screen name of "I Have Girl Parts" and the first post wanting us to ride Highland Park do you think we were being set up for a orange ambush attack:confused:
Just kidding, welcome to the forum.

:D No, but I'm "that guy" who rides a GasGas at KTM world. Had one dude ask why were we riding red one day because he felt it was inferior to his orange bike (this guy had the "ktm edition" white ford, all ktm'd out, vanity plate and all). We simply pointed to the only orange bike in our group and said "that's the only one that is giving us issues". Tool.... Other than that we have a blast up there. The trails are marked well, there are cabins and showers, the single track is challenging (don't go down trail 17 without a friend...).

As far as Dtown goes, I haven't been there but I'm told the ammenities are nicer but the trails are not quite as good.

I am dieing to go to this place. I have spoke to them through email and they are great people. I am sure they would love to have us. There is a horse ranch just down the road that has some cabins for very reasonable prices. Bring the family they could ride horses while we ride bikes!!

Maybe Battery Park in SC would be another choice for an East/SE location. Close enough for the family to take a day trip to Myrtle Beach area if it is late enough in the year.
Also, If it is rainy season, this would be another good reason as I hear it is sandy and drains well.
MX and Hare Scramble trails.

HP & DP are down right miserable if the clay gets wet.

I vote for TN, GA or CO. Sorry Fred but if im gonna drive all day Colorado is pretty incredible. And no razorbacks.

1 vote for Hatfeild_McCoy

I'd been keen to do the Hatfield McCoy area, also interested in a camping option. Prefer to do it earlier than later.
Thanks
