What did you do to your Gas Gas today?

Damn. She looks great. I was gonna brag about changing TTX fork seals and oil. But, damn.

Now THAT is a looker....Your passion and dedication to detail shines through. Literally !

Tell me: Have you used the S12 XC tyres before....how do you find them ? Hows longevity ? [Going to be my next set of rubber i think]

I used S12s for years. Been trying the dunlop AT81 non desert with tubliss at 4psi in a couple HS. So far, i like very much.

Thank you. I love my bike and treat her pretty well. But do love getting her dirty too!!

I have used the S12 before on my old CRF250x. I would have liked to get another VeeRunber Tackee that Melik had on it when I got it. But did not take the time to find one. The S12 is a good tire and holds up rather well. I am told that with the heavy tube they put in I can run it around 12-13 psi which is good for tree roots. I will keep you posted..

I took mine for a ride yestery.. fooded out eveywhere but lots of mud.. she was washed afterwards.

Jobs on the list
Fit 50T rear sprocket to the 2013
Add a little more rear preload to the 2010

Should probably look at pulling the forks and triples on the 2013 and lubing/changing the fluid post break in.

Curious. Do you have the TTX rear shock as well? If so, do you service it on your own? Thanks

Ideally you'd want a vacuum pump setup to fully bleed the TTX Stu. I'm sure with some logic and patience you'd get an ok handbleed done, but its likely easier just to pay someone else. The whole twin chamber design of the TTX shock just gives another area where air can be trapped.

Thanks Jake. I figured you might chime in. I am not due yet for service but will definitely pay to have it done.

Jealous of all you guys doing stuff to your bikes, haven't worked on mine or even seen it for 2 years now, it's been in a storage container while I've been working abroad, but this week I booked a delivery date to have everything delivered back to me! So another 2 months and il be stripping it completely! Yay!

Yes. Is TTX rear. Havent serviced shock yet at 25 hrs. Had a fork seal leak so did em both. Only changed outer fork oil. Inners still holding charge.

WOW......good times ahead then !

What are your plans; when you get it in your hands ?

Full strip, including the engine, all bearings replaced, full suspension overhaul.

Maybe a powder coat of the frame, will see what state it's in, hopefully it will be fine as it's in a packing crate..

Jeez....that looks like Brand new.

Oh. Hang on. Most of it is ;)

Nice.
Just curious - Your opinion.... Do you ever see the need to upgrade to the new VForce4 that is on the 2014's?

Well..... Lets just say that I was extremely close to swapping them for 4's.

When a guy needs new reeds its tough to justify not swapping for the 4's unless of course $$$ is an issue. In my case, I tried to upgrade myself a bit by buying an Orbea Onix. :D So, I figured the 3's will be great plenty for me. if someone does the upgrade I would like to hear! The thing that would interest me most would be an extremely new say 2013 with the VForce 3's in them and ride for a while, then swap the 4's in and see the difference. I was slightly afraid to try bumping to the 4's from junk reeds. Of course it would run much better! Ha.

I guess the way that my bike runs, I really do not need more power, neither on top or on bottom. I would love to try out the 4's. With that said if they would have been easily available I would have had them on in a heartbeat.
