What did you do to your Gas Gas today?

I went out and rode mine and also managed to repeatedly kickstart it when it was hot.... stripping it down and giving it a good going over definitely helped. Made some adjustments to the carb as well, now kicking over well, even hot.

Mrs also had a go on it today, she did OK. (When I was watching and not going flat open on the quad!).

Got tired of the broken plastic guard, so I thought I'd take a shot at making my own.

LT Racing and Flatland Racing made similar guards, except that, when they were installed, they were up against the ignition bulge in the cases; which allowed the cases to support the guard in case of the chain breaking. This would keep the clutch slave cylinder from getting ripped off.

I don't think Les makes them anymore, but here is a link to the Flatland guard.

I sold mine.. paperwork is now done so no longer (for now) a GG owner.. I'm sure that will change. If I decide to go back to 2 stroke again.. I went to big 4's after a bad auto wreck and working back down. 625, 450, 525, now 350. soon maybe a 250ec. Have fun guys..

No reason why you can't have both. I love my GG 200, but had a great 170 mile d/s ride on my plated Orange 450 yesterday.

2015 EC300E Changed Up

Upgrades performed started off by refurbishing and refinishing the P3 Carbon fiber pipe guard that Husley in NV sent me, for ultimate protection and a phenominal look.
For previous Carbon fiber works performed: on FB @B2Rcomp ***Send me your repairs for refurbishment to better than New condition and Performance***

Installed the Cycra Probend Composite handguards sent from Dylan Reed at Cyrca Cvproducts.com for ultimate protection, and to maintain the designed handlebar flex, These Polypro guards absorb vibration and shock otherwise trasmitted back to the rider. Mounted the bars using the ?U? Clamp billet style mounted to the tapered Magura bar.

Replaced the OEM FMF Q-Stealth with a Pro-Circuit USFS Approved/Turbine Core Type 296.
This reduced the total cross section area by 48.25 inches sq., ultimate area reduction over the Q-Stealth by 23.17%,
With only a very minimal noise increase of (~4.0) db's = Quiet with performance gains. This enhancement gained me the benefits of still having a USFS spark arrestor (Heavy unit, only ~0.4 lbs less than Q-Stealth) and the elongated exhaust flow through the muffler allows for mitigating the sound pitch frequency while maintaining good/better overall power. These are the exact same FMF Power & Turbine Core designs used on my '03' GasGas EC250 Racing and my '11' Six Days EC300 for optimal performance.

Likewise for testing purposes, I set the mapping switch on the "rain mode" and retarded the powervalve timing more than the stock setting. These enhancements produced a noticeable increase in tractability, and a very strong and smooth power delivery.

Just to mention - as decibels are defined using logaritmic scale it actually means that the actual noise level is more than two times louder than it was using Q-Stealth. 3 decibels is two times difference... That's the reason why these seemingly minor differences in noise level numbers actually do matter a lot - 4 dB is really not 'only'.

Went and got her dirty for the first time since making her purdy, love my Spanish mistress :D

My son also starting to get the hang of his RM85, well pleased with himself today.
