I just looked on the used bike posts. One is from a guy with a wrist injury. One is from a friend of mine who has decided that his kids are more important than racing right now (I agree). Two are from dealers who have used bikes that we loaned them for the 24 hour race or to support a rider from their dealership. One is from a guy who just could not come to grips with the forks. The rest are from racers we have supported who are tired of me saying "Sell your old bike!"
More bikes in the field equal more used bikes. BTW....I have a 2010 Nambo for sale. $6500. :)

About how many hours are on the Nambo And what would it take to get it to New Mexico.
Thanks Harold

I have never heard of anyone claiming that the GG300 lacks top end compaired to the KTM300 until this thread. Everyone that I know that has ridden both bikes agree that the GG has more of a 250 feel to it compared to the KTM.

Not everyone has a favorable experience with certain bikes and brands of bikes. I've been there with bikes I just couldn't ride if it were mine. The opposite is true for me with Gas Gas, I always knew what they were/are but never rode one. I jumped on a guy?s at a riding school I was working at to help with bike setup and felt better on his bike than my own. When I needed a new bike I went all out with no one riding one in my area. Wow still love it!

One bike still drives me crazy to this day and my dad still owns/rides the thing my brothers old 2006 KTM 250 SX-F. We had some unsavory problems with it but it is a great bike just my brother and I couldn't deal with it. First that year seems terrible to jet, it runs great and doesn't start or it starts and runs terrible. Awesome motor when it works. I rode the thing in the offseason one year and raced it at a national enduro and wtf. Not to mention it had a KTM warrantied engine meltdown when it was 5 months old. Speed was not an issue for me, some thought I was faster on it I just called no joy.

cheers,

Rick

I purchased one of those barely used (less than 20 hours) 2011 gassers. Saved $3000. I'm grinning from ear to ear - my 2011ec250 electric start is perfect. The fellow I brought it from was a long time KTM guy and fairly short in stature so he tried it thinking it would be a lot shorter on the seat height but it wasn't (it's actually taller than my 07 gasser was). He also quit riding for nearly a year due to an injury and now that he's better he's going back to a 300.

I must have bought 15 KTM's and couldn't even ride them without getting the suspension done. My 2011 GG still has stock suspension. Is it perfect? No. But for me Down south It works great. I can't seem to find anything really wrong with it. A little fork mid stroke harshness, but thats about it. My problem is I got mine used from a guy who was having some money issues, and now thing's are looking better so he wants it back. My last bike had about 10k into it( ttx, pipe, hinson, etc.) this thing is stock and is the best bike I have ever owned. I will be looking for a new one if my buddy takes this back.
