full quart in tranny

. . .
It would save me from having that little bit left
Yes well that could get annoying & keep you awake at night just because they didn't design their bike to suit common bottle sizes.

Look at it this way, - its like a coffee loyalty card. Every 10th fill is free.

What he said.....my service manual and owners manual state 900.ml.
Yes it sucks to have a 100.ml left over, but it is what is.....

I also have a bottle that slowly gets filled at every service, keeps me up to date on how many services i have done

Here or there..

The gearbox and clutch vent through the rhs powervalve. I doubt the extra 100ml of oil causes any issues at all. I've had more water than that in mine.. :o

Save the 100ml and use it every 9th service. Put it in and stretch the service interval out a touch more. I usually just put the whole bottle in and call it done.

For those of us in the USA, 1 Qt. is 946ml, so were splitting the difference if we toss in the whole bottle.

For everyone else, you could switch to an oil and ATF mix. But then you would have two partial bottles.
On the upside, those 2 partial bottles would only be sitting around for half as long...

Interestingly I was recommended to use motorex ATF in the GG tranny and I have some from my Montesa but have been worried about using it, maybe I should consider a 50/50 mix with belray gear saver that I currently use?

I have been running 1 liter of Rotella T for a few years with no issue. Just a bit more volume to to help oil quality as it gets dirtier. Just think how dirty your oil would be if you only ran half a liter........

So you've done 8 oil changes & have 8 near empty bottles with 100ml in each (assuming you've not read the thread heading like I just noticed it sez 'quart' but I use Motul & its from the 'orrible French people & they use litres). Anyways you tip those 8 100mls together & get 800 ml. Just saying:D

I thought everyone used 800mls? Isn't that the best way to save money? :o ..my bad

FWW, I buy Amsoil, comes in the Quart bottle, and I just use the whole thing. Before that using GRO I'd buy it in 1L bottles and use 900mls as per the manual.
