Heavy springs and stock valving.

I have heavy springs installed in my 2013 EC300 matched to my weight, but I'll need to make due with the stock valving for now. Right now the settings are right out of the box and obviously not ideal for the new springs. I'll need to make some coarse adjustments first before fine tuning in time. What should I do? I would think decrease compression resistance a little and increase rebound resistance significantly then go from there. The rear shock spring is a 6.2 and the forks are sprung to match, though I don't remember the rate off hand.

You're on the right path. Compression may be ok stock, but as you've determined you'll need to beef up the rebound significantly to control the recoil on the spring. Consider clamping on a larger shim.
