2010 ec300
Main- 180
Needle- JD Jetting blue.3rd clip
Pilot- 38
a/s- 3.5
Motul 800 50:1
sea level to 500m
20-28 degrees C
I thought it was good as stock,now it's frikin awesome!!
Dropped the float level a little as I was getting some fuel overflow.
Fuel economy has been pretty poor,will see if it has changed.

Bike year & model = 2001 EC300
Temperature (degF) = 50
Elevation (feet) = 500
Main jet = 178
Pilot jet = 42
Needle & notch = LTR - middle
Air screw setting = 1.75
Throttle valve/slide = #7

Results:
after getting the float set right, this bike will start and idle all day long now. Crisp on idle response, transition from slow jet to main jet is smooth. Using premium pump gas with Belray MC-1 at 50:1 I do have the carbon fiber reeds which also helps make it snappier.

It pulls harder and faster than it ever has. Very happy with the results.

Bike year & model = 2011 EC300-E
Temperature (deg C) 25
Elevation (feet) = 200
Main jet = 175
Pilot jet = 40
Needle & notch = N1EF #2
Air screw setting = 1.75
Throttle valve/slide = stock

With the 2011 single base gasket it seems broader power than last years model. It has a slight hunting noise when you shut it down, but on a sunny day I can start it cold without choke, so it can't be lean.

Bike year & model = 2010 EC300
Temperature (deg C) 25 - 40
Elevation (m) = 900-1200m (3000-4000ft)
Oil = 40:1 (unleaded + Motul 710)
Main jet = 175
Pilot jet = 40
Needle & notch = N3Eh #2
Air screw setting = 1.5
Throttle valve/slide = stock (7)

2011 EC250 with a PWK 38mm Air Striker 2 carb (Canadian bike). FMF Q stealth silencer, stock pipe, VForce 3 reeds, basically a bone stock bike up here.

Elevation: 2000-3000'
38 pilot jet (stock was 40)
172 main (stock was 180)
N8RH needle in the 4th clip
Air screw is 1.5-2 turns out depending on air temperature.

Plug was a golden tan when tested at 5 degrees celsius but might be a tad rich as the temperature warms up. Once the weather improves and it stops snowing I may drop the pilot to a 35 and see about moving the needle or going to another KTM needle. It seems the KTM jetting chart is pretty close, though because this is a 250 and with a 38mm carb, the jets need to be 1-2 steps richer. For a 300 an engine tuner said it could get away with the stock KTM250 jetting due to the increased air velocities of the bigger jug.

Finally got my jetting sorted. No more sputtering at all.
Runs really crisp and no spooge.

Bike:2011 GG 250 Six Days.
Carb-38mm ASII.
JD Jet kit.
Pilot-42.
Main-168.
Needle-red-clip in the middle.
Air screw-2 turns out.
Elevation-80' to 300'.
Temp-98F and 90% humidity

Bike year & model = 2010 EC300 PWK ASII 38mm
Temperature (deg C) 20-35
Elevation = 600m - 1200m
Main jet = 172
Pilot jet = 40
Needle & notch = N3EH #2
Air screw setting = 3
Throttle valve/slide = stock 7

this seems to be working fine for me, possibly look at going down one of pilot as the air screw is fully open

Bike= 11' xc250 Six Days
Carb= 38mm ASII
Elevation= 0-2500
93 octane pump gas

Main=172
Pilot=40
Needle=NEDW #3 (optional needle from an 07' Suzuki rm 250)
AS=2 turns out
Slide= stock #7

These Suzuki needles, NEDH,NEDW and NEDJ, rich-lean are the best needles I've used in the bike so far, and I've used almost every needle listed in here and then some. The bike has smooth responsive tractable power(torque) and a bunch more over rev than with the cck or ddk series needles. They just plane work.

I would recommend the NEDW series needle for 250's. The NEDJ needle for 300's, and the NEDH needle for 200's. They also come in an NEC-X which is 1/2 clip position leaner.

Wheres the best place to order them from? I have seen the ktm lads are all over these needles of late too!

I ordered mine from Rockymountainatv, but I see they no longer sell oem parts. I would give motosport.com or midwest action cycle a try.

Bike year & model = EC300 2006
Temperature (degF) = 50 - 80
Elevation (feet) = 0 to 1000
Main jet = 178
Pilot jet = 42
Needle & notch = CCK Needle 2nd from top
Air screw setting = 1 1/2
Throttle valve/slide = standard 8?
Large volume power valve cover fitted
Reduced squish by only having 0.5mm base gasket

Results:Responsive bottom end with rapid acceleration. I swapped with my mate last time out, he has a KTM EXC300 and he is envious of the GasGas grunt.

hot weather jetting (no idle with ddk needle above 60 degrees..)

Bike year & model = EC300 1999
Temperature (degF) = 60 - 100
Elevation (feet) = 800 to 2000
Main jet = 175
Pilot jet = 45
Needle & notch = DDM #3
Air screw setting = 2.5
Throttle valve/slide = #7
Large volume power valve cover
squish is 1.1.. 50/50 110/93 fuel, 50:1 amsoil dominator, messico pipe, 2k2 + 9 oz. fww

starts 1 kick, bike idles smooth, pulls hard from the bottom and in a hurry. snappy and responsive everywhere. no stutters or bogs anywhere. no 1/8 throttle 4 stroking problems that i have with ddk... bike will idle until it runs out of fuel.

2011 EC300 #36 stamped on top of carb
Colorado 8k-12k ft
60-80F
Single track and a little sand-mud
Main 160
JD red needle 2nd clip
35 pilot
Air screw 2-2.5
6.5 slide ( going to try a 7)

Seems a lot leaner than most other postsers, but it runs very well. I use a lot of low rpm lugging on the tech climbs and it pulls like my 450, only better...

Elevation 300M - 1000M
Squish Height 1.8mm
GRO 50:1

Clean off idle. Small rich spot transferring onto the needle. Can be cleaned up going half a clip leaner but then gets too lean in the mid range. Pulls hard right through to 9800rpm. Idles well and doesn't hang.
