KX Subframe swap

Just to let you all know, the 1994-1998 KX125 (250 also) frame fits the EC300 2006 perfectly. All you have to do is move the seat mounts back approx 15mm (5/8" for the unlearned) and everything matches up fine .

So besides the frame itself, all you need is some 4mm x 16mm large flanged rivets, and a 4mm drill!

I didn't weigh them to compare, but by hand the alloy frame only feels less than 1kg lighter than the steel frame.

I used '98 KX250 subframe on my kids bike and didn't have to move the seat mounts at all.

You don't on older gassers, I don't know what the year threshold is though .
