Newer Plastic on Older GasGas show your bike

Red 1 is the seat washer, the black 2 are for the head light mounting, the white one is the upper front brake cable guide. never found a use for the expanding screws,.

The expanding screws are used to hold the side number plate to the airbox/subframe. One each side. The left airbox cover has a tab that folds around the subframe, and that tab has a slot. There is a hole in the subframe, simply line them up and tap them in. However, they are foolish bits, and I replaced mine with a machine screw as the only way I can easily remove the airfilter is to remove the left side plate, which requires removing that plastic scrivet (screw/rivet, actual part name at Boeing). It will break eventually, FYI.

Yeah, what Phil said.

Good Riding and Merry Christmas!

I know a 2011 does not count as newer plastic etc on the bike, but redid my entire bike, frame, rims, spokes, plastics, fork tubes almost everything changed.....

How she looked when I got her:

Then after redoing everything including custom graphics etc:

Is there a kit for this?

Used to be available, don't know any more. I think several members have installed the kit recently, search for "transformation" on the site, I'm sure something will pop up. It used to be available from Motocross center in Spain. I think Booth and another user just finished their transformation projects.

Finally got around to installing my NOS 2001 plastics on my '00 XC250. Does this count?? Old vs "new" below. :) (kids bike in the background)

I only had fitment problems with the silencer. I had to make a spacer that lowered the attachment by 1". If I forced the silencer into the proper mounting location then the pipe would hit the rear shock reservoir...

First summer crosscountry next saturday.
So I put some -14 Factory plastics on a -13 Factory.

I really like that white frame.

Question for older bike owners 99-03 long shock models

Anyone convert to an 07 up subframe on this year bike? I put my 09 subframe on my 01 and the airboot rubs on the shock . Anyone else experience this? Found a remedy?

I'm running 07 subframe on my 2000 with no issues with the shock/airboot. I've even pulled the reedblock spacer out, so the boot is sitting even more relaxed and closer to the shock.

Only complaint here is that the silencer never really fits right. It's held on with one bolt, an aluminum bushing and a rubber grommet.. It's wearing through and will eventually fall off. Just waiting on that day to order 07 exhaust components. Also somewhere along the line my header pipe got bent down and is now rubbing on top of the case where the kickstart mechanism is.. Never ending project.
