Possible stolen gasser??

I purchased a 2011 ec 300 and i think I have been ripped off,
The vin is either
VTREC3000G0160943
or
VTREC3000C0160943
its hard to tell ,it has Nambotin plastics
the vin checker says 2016 model or 2012 model
the frame looks like an older model[now that I am having increased scrutiny]
its rectangular section -with no cutouts down near the swingarm.
The engine number is EC300506013599. Any suggestions on what I got?

Possibly 2000-2007 with upgraded plastic and subframe. Did it not come with any paper work? I was convinced mine was a 2001 until I got my OHV stickers in the mail and learned it was a 2000.

I have a receipt stating it as 2011 ec 300.
The bike was cheaper because it was supposed to be on the written off vehicle list, and unable to be registered. I was OK with that.I use it on my farm.
The guy I bought it off has a bill of sale stating it as a 2011, and he [the vendor]is a motorcycle accessory shop owner who regularly sells bikes from the front of his shop.
