The Nambotin Replica 2010 Thread

its similar to a 1/4 turn just a little more play(slight), it is really touchy imo and would be a very good option considering the throttle tube is smoother as well. i rode the 2nd cam on saturday and was absolutly perfect with the bike in sunny mode. i cant tell you guys how much better the bike responded with a minor change in the cam profile. worth every penny i think! enduro1 were are you located? if you wanted to try the cam profile that matches the most aggressve of the g2 i could sell you my throttle tube and save a bundle, its been used twice.

FWI...G2 makes a throttle cam that is faster (quicker turning) than the 100 cam which is the same as stock. He also makes a 300 cam and I think even something past the 400 if you think you need something that slow.

Absolutely top customer service if you order from G2 directly. It's totally worth the call to talk to him. Great guy!

ive had a recent problem with my kick starter siezing so i had to pull the top end off and just thought id let other nambo owners have a peak at the interchangable insert. heres a few pics

I hope they bring that to the final 2man round so I can see one in the flesh.
I heard there was a nambo replica at round 2, I was kicking myself that I didnt front up.
Do you know how many were bought into NZ?

Do it, Noobi! Just think how happy you'll be out on the trail eating a meat pie and pinnapple chunky treat :D hopefully I got that pretty close.

well guys my nambo is definetly out of commission, took the primary off today and the water pump completely exploded causing pretty severe damage. check the 2-stroke engine forum to see pics, im super bumbed only had 20hrs on her and was absolutly luving the new bike

ya it kinda sucks double bad because this is essentially there flag ship bike! im sure itll all get worked out, thats why i went with the brand so i guess will see!

Yikes Trev not good news....:(

did it destroy the primary cover....any ideas what happened...maybe something came down the rad hose and jammed the impeller.....

Ya viet the case is pretty badly gouged I don't see how you could salvage it. A new bearing pressed in would surely make it's way back out over time

What happened to the other one?

Crank bearing. These engines have sealed bearings, and someone at SKF forgot to put lube in the bearing before the seal was installed. Somehow it went nearly 20 hours before seizing. Quite amazing actually.
