50cc implant

Prepped my son's 2003 EC200 for the MC250 implant. I plan to swap over the 2k3 ignition for the extra lighting power and flywheel. I need to pop out a dent in a Doma pipe and he should be all smiles!

Mounted up a new back tire and a brand new shiny set of bark busters. Gave all the nuts and bolts a once over and tied a few loose wires. Now if it would just warm up and quit raining!!

I think you may get our weather a day later. (Memphis is your location?)

I rode on NYD with two of my sons for about an hour before the rains came down steady. It was fun and a great way to start 2015.
It's been raining ever since, until yesterday. The ground feels like a sponge.

We're going back out on the trails again tomorrow, before it starts again. I don't mind getting wet, but I hate cold and wet.

Good Riding!
Jim

Won't this just retain moisture?

The foam trick has been around a long time, the foam keeps the mud out and a vast amount of water as well.

All you need to do is go down to a fabaric shop and find some dense foam, you want it thick enough to compress slightly when it is place between the engine, skid plate. You want enought to cover the entire bottom of the frame / skid plate area. In fact you can suff around the entire motor. I've zip tied foam to the brake pedal to help keep mud out between the pedal and clutch cover.

It makes it a real bitch to change oil for me it is just simpler to lay my bike on the side and get in there with a water hose. But to each his own.

Sold the frame and gave away a throttle cable.:p

Hey I resemble that remark!

Turned my 2009 EC300 into a pile of parts in preparation for a slightly different transformation kit. Had title issues with my bike. Anyone familiar with Ohio knows the pain it can be. When its all said and done I'll have a 2011 minus Ohlins suspension and cool black rims.

Installed some goodies

Installed a Rekluse clutch basket, Honda CRF450R steel/friction plates, heavy wedges and changed the Rekluse springs to silver/red in my Core EXP 3.0. Gave her a test ride today and she rips. Just got tired of all the slipping with my current Rekluse setup.
Installed a MotoZ terrapactor s/t on the front and will do the rear tomorrow.

All in preparation for the season's first race next weekend.

Linkage guard!

So, I apparently tend to use my shock bottom and linkage to help get over rocks and tree roots, etc. all my bikes tend to wind up with pretty scarred up pull rods. So, I built a little skid plate for the linkage. I made it from UHMW polyethylene that I got from McMaster-Carr.

Cleaned and greased all suspension bearings.............installed "o"rings in place of seals. New thrust washers. Rear shock was rebuild, installed new spring. Forks have been rebuild, revalved and new springs.

Hope to get more done this weekend. She's been sitting for close to a year:eek:
