Newer Plastic on Older GasGas show your bike

Your bike looks great, I really like the white frame & plastics with yellow decals.
Good job!

Like I have said thanks for all of the help and support!

A last couple of pics between rain showers and tried something, turned the pertol on and started it using my hand not using any choke. 4 dg C here!

Ok i have started fitting my 2011 plastic kit and have a question about the front fender

on the 2010 the fender was secured to the underside of the tripple clamp with 4 bolts

on the 2011 it seems like only two bolts go into the underside of the t-clamp (fender only has 2 holes in that position) and then there is a plastic bracket that holds the bottom of the light that is bolted into the front of the t clamp (where the 2010 had the stabilizing bracket onto the fender) and it seems like the remaining 2 fender bolts attach to this bracket as well. is this correct? I am just worried that if i have a bit of a fender bender it may break the light bracket?

should i rather drill 2 holes into the fender and secure it to the underside of the t-clamp the same way as the 2010?

EC300R 07 with 2013 450 kit

I finished my 07 upgrade to 13(450) kit from motor cross center. I have to say they where very easy to deal with. The kit only took six days to arrive in Australia.

That is the way they bolts go. The two forward most bolts that secure the front fender thread into the plastic bracket that is bolted to the front of the bottom triple. As for its strength, I've had several big crashes during which I've ripped the bolts through the fender and twisted the front fender almost 180' around. No damage to that bracket or the headlight at all. It's very strong.

ok thanks, was not looking forward to trying to line up and drill new holes

PS is there supposed to be a gromet in the bracket where the headlight slots in, or is it fairly loose in the hole?

Meant to be a grommet there. And a bloody tight one at that. It's a pain getting the headlight in and out sometimes.

thanks, n_green all sorted now

fullthrottle, thanks, but my bike is the 2010 so i have all the required holes and bracket came in the kit (along with two rhs fork guards!) just wanted confirmation that it would be sturdy enough or if i should use all four holes under the t clamp

You guys have me hyped on redoing my 2002 eco300. I checked out the website for motocross whatever and the are out of stock right now for these kits. I think I'm going with the Suomi look when I get a chance. Again, great job to everyone and good to see some old Gas Gasers still glad to help out on this website. I still have a Smackover sticker on my tool box!

Funny you should mention those stickers. While gathering gaskets to send a fellow last week, I came across a large manilla envelope that had some of the yellow "SMACKOVER" decals inside.

Good Riding to You!

Greenland is out of stock on all designs right now. Bummer, but I'm sure it'll come back in stock. I don't mind waiting it looks like it's worth the wait.

Jim, that's pretty cool......I have a few plastered on my tool box and lube cabinet!

Well, Greenland's Roberto says the transition kits are out of production for now.
I guess if I do it I'll have to piece it together myself...sounds expensive. Ant ideas???
