What did you do to your Gas Gas today?

12

Well, before Ive even rode this 12 250r Ive ordered a DEP exhaust system, a set of tyres and a vertex piston kit, Im on my first ride with my new toy today and will have it apart as soon as possible, it was jetted weird and Ive put it back to stock for today.
What squish are you's guys running on the 250 with normal 95 fuel, my last bike was an 05 200 a good few years back and that was over3mm and I took it back to 1.65.
Any tips for this machine ?
And is there better spray black for swingarm as this one is chipped and peeling quite bad

I have right at 1.1mm piston clearance on top. If you don't want to repaint the swingarm, and instead protect it, you could install a black Hyde plastic swingarm cover.

New tires, chain/sprockets, fluid change, hand guards, cleaning. Ready for Desert 100.

And a tune up of my human powered enduro. Which helps me twist the throttle longer, when on my gasser.

Nice! I just did new chain and sprocket's as well. Love the Nukeproof!

I turned my 300 into a Dual Sport bike (ish). Stock rear fender extender, a couple of LED blinkers up front, and a cobbled together headlight switch to replace/supplement the broken rotating light switch. Taller gearing (was 13/50, now 14/48), and DOT legal tires. Running a Poker Run this weekend, should be fun? Well, it better be fun!

I moved my 38mm Lectron from the 06 200 to the 15 200. On the 15, it seems to be more space around the carb. It was easy to mount the carb, the airboot fits perfectly.
At the same time I installed a Motion Pro throttle cable.

The bike started on the first kick, but I haven't had the chance to test ride it yet.

A pre ride inspection, and cleaning. Clean air filter, change oil. Lube and adjust, etc.
It's time to look for radiators, new graphics.

Last 2 days! Covered 324kms in 9.5 engine hours. Average speed of 35km/hr riding mostly singles with a bit of transport between them. Front sprocket is well hooked, rear tyre looking less than new, seats still torn to sheds, and right side footpeg mount damaged. Service schedule about to start again!

I punched a hole in my clutch master cylinder today, at the sight glass...did not put the bike down. What are the chances that a .5" diameter sight glass catches a rock at an angle that misses the hand guard? Just lucky I guess. 2 part epoxy did the trick, but unfortunately they do not have a transparent epoxy as of yet..

And a few pics as most people seem to be posting nice shiny clean bikes. Here's one for the dirty bikes!

Swing arm and shock bearings
Gold chain
BRP chain guide
Fresh oil, coolant, air filter and a clean carb

Soon to come, fresh tire, new frame guards and fork guards

Waiting on the snow to melt to hit the trails.

My son is bugging me so bad to go ridding.

Went riding Monday- radiators are fine, I'm not worrying about them anymore.
I let a co-worker ride my bike. He Loved it! Wants to buy one now. I tried to tell him this all along, it's way better than the others.
So after this summer, will be looking for s 2012+ 300 in the PNW.

I'm in Boise, and might have my awesome13 up for sale soon!

This is my favorite $2 mod ever! I used soft ties to make Tugged straps. I didn't have to cut or do anything with the rear strap, just looped it around the brackets where the rear number plates bolt on. The front I'll just loop around the front forks.

Great idea! I'm doing that today.
