APT SmartCarb

I want to be in on the group buy. I ride in very steep technical single track, so I've been leaning towards a 36mm carb ever since Roscoe's ride report on his then new '11 xc300. The more bottom the better for me.

I have reread our thread, ktmtalk, trx250 thread. Let me know for the group buy or preorder on the die cast.

I am IN

John01,
I'd be very interested to hear how the smartcarb works on your wb165 if you get one. I have a wr144 with a keihin and still can't get it jetted worth a damn.

If they really have one in stock to fit my WB165 I'm gonna order it up tomorrow and will make sure I post up what I think about it. The stock Mikuni is a real pain to keep adjusted with 20-30* temp changes we are having in the same day.

I had a YZ144 (Mikuni equipped, granted) that liked to be jetted every day, if not more frequently. I once stopped in the middle of a hare scrambles to move the clip position because of the humidity change.

For a while it seemed like 300s were the worst/most finicky about jetting, now it seems like it's the non-traditional sizes (not 125, 250, 300).

Just a quick update I did receive my Smartcarb last Friday, Cory sent it out lightning speed:D I have been tied up with work and also waiting on a few GoPro parts, I hope to get the carb installed by the weekend and have a review.
Steve.

Guys, Corey has said that there will be no group buys....

Not against a group buy and could make a deal if we had enough inventory. We are considering taking early orders for diecast versions though that would get you a discount when the order is released.

Spoke to Corey on the phone.

They are working on setting up the website to do this. It is currently not set up to do so. Hopefully by Friday.

Exciting stuff.

After talking with the wife about not having to fart around with jetting from weather changes she wants one for the 250F as well.
