What to expect for 2016?

I will be the first to admit, I have beat the Spanish management of GG up quite a bit lately, but finally taking it off of life support and letting it die is the best thing for the brand today. The company will be purchased and re-invented quickly. Will it continue to the "Gas Gas"? I kind of doubt it, but there is still value in the brand albeit less and less every day.

The sooner that it is "liquidated" the sooner the new buyer(s) can get things rolling again.

I could be wrong, but I think this is good news. The Spanish/Israeli regime couldn't make a go of it. Its time for someone new to take the reigns and shed the debt that was hanging around its neck for the last decade.

Sad!! And I was going to invest in a trails bike to go along side my ec.. looks like replacement parts are going to be a major issue now..!

OK I'll start a new rumor: GasGas will come full circle and be rescued from the ashes by who else? --------Bultaco. Trials bikes will continue to be built but be called Sherpa T. Parts for the EC bikes will also continue to be made but not complete bikes. The EC design team will continue to work on an updated 2stroke offroad bike which will carry the Bultaco name. Time for the old thumbs up sign to mean something again.

IMO, the best thing that could happen is for an investor to buy it out of liquidation & rebuild it.
It has happened to many companies before...including KTM

I think I will hold on and not jump ship until we get something from Rod or Mark NOT Facebook  dam this is getting old

I'm not jumping ship either, I like this bike too much and have it setup just right. Not like parts are going to disappear overnight.

I wonder what exactly this will do for resale? Is my 2014 300 still worth the "standard" used gas gas price or is it completely worthless now?

Indeed and agreed!! This is the writing I saw on the wall months ago when all this started... It's a messy time consuming process, but the end result should put everyone (with exception to some of the workers) in a better place.

The red Huskys are still selling and have parts support.

I wouldn't loose sleep over this.

i always worry about value also. I just excepted riding my faithful stead into the ground and stop worring about it. Worst case scenario GasGas disappears and parts dry up, but thats not all bad then the value will go back up for parts! Joking aside for some reason I have optimism about it and that's something coming from my negative nancy gut! :p

I envision a run on gas gas parts like on banks back in the day....before the euro and atms. Seriously though, no one buys a gasser for resale value, we buy the bikes because we love them:)

Yes, this news hasn't changed my opinion or plans for my current bike at all.
